If you have symptoms of vomiting and/or diarrhoea, please do not visit patients in hospital. Drag artists’ Respiratory Care fundraiser

Miss Stephanie Sky and Miss Fonda held a Drag Artist fundraising night at Oscar’s Bar in Newcastle on Sunday the 5th March to raise funds in support of the Respiratory Care Unit based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead.

Miss Stephanie Sky wanted to thank members of the Respiratory Care Unit staff for the amazing care they provided to his wife Carol who sadly passed away in February 2023.

Clare Drummond, Charity Manager expressed her heartfelt condolences on behalf of QE Charity and Gateshead Health NHS Trust and said “a special thanks for the amazing efforts Miss Stephanie during such a difficult time. Your work will help others struggling with respiratory problems.”

The fundraising night, held in one of the oldest LGBTQIA+ venues in the North of England, was a huge success with a night of laughs from performances by drag performers from Newcastle and around the North East. The acts kindly donated their time free of charge in support of this fundraising event. Miss Stephanie gave a short speech about the respiratory care his wife Carol had received which was very moving.

A huge thank you to Miss Stephanie Sky, Miss Fonda and their co-performers for all their support.

It is not too late to show your support by donating via Miss Stephanie Sky’s JustGiving page.
